Burzynski Clinic is a scam?

Well it certainly seems so based on the postings on Quackwatch and multiple other sites.  This Polish doctor takes thousands of dollars from vulnerable people under the guise of wanting to help them.  In fact, the treatment doesn’t have any clinical efficacy and is merely a method to generate income.  Why doesn’t the FDA do anything?  No idea.  They did issue a warning letter in 2009 but it may have been withdrawn when the concerns were corrected within the deadline.

Georgia Business Announces Refusal To Hire “Until Obama Is Gone”

Georgia Business Announces Refusal To Hire “Until Obama Is Gone”.

Well we can respond to this asshat.  Keeping people unemployed so you can be an ass is bullshit.  I will not only not hire his company for any work, I will not patronize any business that hires him.  Not because I’m a huge Obama fan, but because Looman is a prick.

Christian Group Demands That We All Say ‘Merry Christmas’ | Friendly Atheist

Christian Group Demands That We All Say ‘Merry Christmas’ | Friendly Atheist.

I can’t agree more with Hemant about this.  First of all Christmas was not a “Christian” holiday until the church took it over winter solstice celebrations (in the 4th century, also the time period of the St. Nick myth) in order to win the hearts of the people they conquered.  Of course most history from that period is exaggerated, twisted, and downright storytelling so no-one knows the real facts.  But getting back to this group of zealots, they really need to get a life now, because after they die, they are worm food.

Christian Morals

So according to Christians a person can’t be moral without god.  This article is just one example of that being a load of balony.  This serial killer was a minister and obviously doesn’t have a moral center regardless of his belief.  Now this would be considered cherry picking except that most murderers are christian.  And before a christian states “well they aren’t christian,” you don’t get to pick who is christian and who isn’t.  It doesn’t work like that, technically most christians are frauds but no-one has a right to make a distinction, that would be making a judgement and only the christian god is allowed to do that.

2012 Politics

by on Nov.27, 2011, under General, Politics

Well I was going to steer the blog towards Palin and Bachman for the election, but they are basically dead candidacies. While Perry, and Gingrich are both scary, they are going to cannibalize each others votes as they appeal to different nutjobs.

Can you believe this shit? Exorcists jailed for childs death

by on Sep.18, 2011, under General

The 21st Floor » Blog Archive » Skeptic News: Exorcists jailed for childs death.

People believing prayer is helpful is one thing, but this shit is nuts.  They should torture her the same way she tortured her kid, just not letting her die in the end.  30 years in prison is worse than death.

BULLSHIT Column: The truth behind the ‘let him die’ nonsense – USATODAY.com

Column: The truth behind the ‘let him die’ nonsense – USATODAY.com.

So I read this article at the USA Today web site and the first thing I thought of was BS.  This Katrina Trinko was acting as an apologist for the candidates being honest about their right wing asshole attitudes.  She states there were 2-3 people cheering in the audience about letting the patient die, but how would she know? She wasn’t there obviously or she would know if it was 2 or 3.

Next, the answers from the candidates were asshole-ish (my new word).  So neighbors, families, communities, and churches are going to pay off HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of debt piled up by sick people they supposedly care about?  That would never happen voluntarily, EVER. How much do you think a neighborhood car wash brings in? $100-$200 maybe.  Not really a dent when a $400,000 hospital bill comes due.

On the other hand, we have a name for that, INSURANCE.  When everyone pitches in, it’s a tax (I know, I hate the word too, but it’s a necessary evil) that pays for the insurance.  It has to be mandatory or it won’t work.  And a one-payer system would work best but it will never happen, so that has to be shelved.  The half-assed plan that did pass needs a lot of work thanks to loopholes meant to make companies like McDonalds happy.

So getting back to that $400,000 unpaid hospital bill.  Who pays for that?  You do, higher hospital bills, insurance costs, doctor bills, etc.  You want to know why it costs $300 to see your doctor when you have a migraine?  Just think of those thousands of unpaid $400,000 bills.  If you ask why I am using $400,000 as an example, one reason.  Ron Paul’s (extremely effective) former campaign manager died of pneumonia, without insurance, and left $400,000 in unpaid medical bills, leaving his family destitute.
